What's the difference between microblading and powder brows? They are both semi-permanent, however the tools used, and techniques create different results.

What is Microblading? A microblade is a handheld tool (no motor or moving parts). A blade is made up of 16-20 tiny needles connected together which is inserted into the end of a handle basial an X-acto knife handle. Note: This tip is a single use item and will be disposed of after each individual customer. Once the blade is secured into the handle, the tip is dipped into organic ink and small cuts are created across the brows to create realistic, natural looking hair strokes.

What are Powder Brows? Powder Brows is semi-permanent procedure using a motorized pen where a single use needle is inserted into the pen then, using a particular technique, the organic pigment is applied to the surface of the brow. The end result gives the brows a soft color mimicking a powdered make up giving the brows a more filled-in look. Other effects such as ombre brows can be achieved with this technique.

What are Nano Brows? Nano brows are created to look like real hairs but instead of using a microblade to achieve this look, a mechanical pen is used instead.

How do I know what type of brows I need? This is where speaking to your PMU artist (that's ME) is a must! Schedule a free consultation. It is worth your time, I promise.

My eyebrows are hardly there, and my tails are completely gone; will PMU eyebrows help me with this? Yes. Most of us have brow issues for various reasons and this is the beauty of what I do. I can correct those little imperfections such as balance, color, shape, or in some cases create the appearance of brows where none existed!

I want to get some PMU Services, but I am worried about it hurting. It's normal to feel concerned about pain when considering PMU services.  I prioritize client comfort and take steps to minimize pain during procedures.

  • Before your procedure, I provide helpful information and tips.

  • I use top-of-the-line topical pain-reducing numbing cream and reapply as often as needed.

  • I work closely with each client to ensure personal comfort such as small breaks, talking them through what I am doing, soft music, stress ball, knee bolster, neck pillow, etc.

  • I am regularly checking in on your pain level (most clients report pain level of 0-3 on a 1-10 scale)

  • I provide all necessary aftercare items in your aftercare kit for the duration of the healing process.

  • I make myself available to answer any questions or concerns after your procedure and do spot check-ins on you.

How long does the procedure take? This can vary from person to person, however, I 3-4 hours is typical.

How long does it take to heal completely? Approximately, 6 - 8 weeks, it varies from person to person. Lips can sometimes take a few more weeks longer.

How long will my eyebrows last? Due to the nature of our own individual bodies there is no clear answer to this. I use organic pigments, and they hold longer in the skin. Many factors such as skin color, skin type, personal care, following proper after care instructions, all can affect your PMU in months and years to come. Most people can enjoy a minimum of 18-24 months before the color fades & a touch up is needed. Some people have retained color for as long as 5 years, so it all varies.

Can I remove my eyebrows if I don't like them? No. Because of the application these cannot be removed except with a tattoo laser removal procedure. You can lighten them the first few days with a solution, but traces will linger in places. Best advice is to do your homework. know what you want and make sure your artist is properly trained and licensed. Look at their work and get testimonials. I know many of my clients who would be happy to talk with you.

Can I get lip filler & my lips blushed? Yes, you can have lip filler and get your lips blushed. It's recommended to get the lip filler first and then wait about two weeks before proceeding with lip blushing. For more precise guidance, you can consult your lip filler technician regarding this timeline. Following this order helps ensure even color and coverage from the lip blushing while allowing any tenderness and swelling from the injections to subside.

Can I get cold sores from lip blushing? No. Cold sores or fever blisters are painful bumps that for around your lips. They are caused by the Herpes Simplex Virus; most commonly type 1. People have reported these blisters a few days after having lip blushing procedures.  That's because the virus can lay dormant for extremely long periods of time. It's triggered when you have the lips blushing procedure. It's very important to tell your artist you have had cold sores no matter how long ago it was. Medication taken prior can be a solution to mitigate a harsh outbreak. I only use disposable sealed single use needles so infection cannot spread from person to person.

I have really dark lips; can I get lip blushing? Yes. Some clients have more melanin in the lips and there are ways to achieve an even natural color for these clients. I need to be transparent here, this often requires multiple sessions with 6 weeks between each session to achieve desired results. How many sessions varies from client to client. Call to book a free consultation.

How old do I have to be to get any PMU (Permanent MakeUp)? Per Texas state law you must be 18 and present a valid Id before receiving any of my services.

I have previous work I don't like; can you fix it? I am sorry you're unhappy with your pervious work however currently, no, I cannot correct it. I am working with first time clients and my own returning clients. Corrections take a special training, knowledge and years of proven results with corrections. There are many highly skilled and trained artists in the DFW area that would be a better choice for corrections at this time.
